Dr. Fred Schwendeman was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. He is a Board Certified Orthodontist who received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) at the University of Kentucky. He did his orthodontic residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. He joined Dr. Ken Spain in practice in 1996. They practiced together until 2001. Since that time Dr. Schwendeman has been in solo practice. Dr. Schwendeman is a member of the 6th District Dental Society which is a component of the Montana Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontist and the Montana State Orthodontic Society. Dr. Schwendeman has been president of the 6th District Dental Society and the Montana State Orthodontic Society.
Dr. Schwendeman’s practice focuses on comprehensive orthodontic treatment for children and adults. In order to continue to stay abreast of the latest developments within the specialty of orthodontics he has always exceeded the educational requirements of the State Board of Dentistry. He offers many of the newest technological advances that are available in order to keep treatment times to a minimum and treatment results at their highest level.
Dr. Schwendeman is a dedicated husband and father of two. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Sarah, his son Luke, and his daughter Dakota. His hobbies include snow skiing, backpacking, camping, fishing, and hunting.
